Hmmmmm......
It was another Barber, if I remember correctly the father of Charles Barber.
Can anyone tell me what his first name was...?

Somewhat in order (by memory):
Gobrecht (Gobrecht S$1, partly Seated coinage) , Longacre( IHC), Barber(20 cent piece), Barber(Barber series), Morgan(Morgan S$1), Sinnock( Roosevelt dime).....and Gasparro( Memorial cent rev) sometime after and there was Mercanti ( ASE).

Laura Gardin Fraser's entry was rejected for this denomination. What denomination was it? Whose design was chosen instead?

The Washington quarter. Flanagan's design was chosen instead.

Since it is late here I'll post some trivia questions to keep this going until I come back in the morning. -MV

1. What date and mint mark has the 5th lowest business strike mintage in the Morgan dollar series?

2. Who wrote a book on branch mint coinage in 1893?

3. Where is the mint mark located on 1838 and 1839 Capped Bust half dollars?

4. On a 1909 St. Gaudens Double Eagle how many tiny stars circle the obverse rim?

5. Notes issued for use in North Africa during WWII can be easily identified by sight. How?

6. Which large size note has the nickname of "Sawhorse Back" ?

P.S. Don't forget anyone is welcome to post a trivia question at any time.

@ Duncan that's a hard question. Is it the 1987-D Kennedy half?

on the obverse, between the bust and the date.

They had the gold seal?

there is one for each state in the union so that would be 46

I also have a few questions.

1. What is a nickname for the Winged Liberty Dime (we all know it is a Mercury dime but there are other nicknames for the coin)

2. What year was the relief lowered on the Kennedy half dollar?

@CoinCollector2012 way to go with three correct answers at once!

Collector side note: North Africa notes had blue serial numbers like other silver certificates but had a gold Treasury seal.
