Got this 1865 Indian cent and the top of the 5 Looks strange tgo me. Looks to may be an 1865/4 But I am very stumped. Some Help on this would be great! Thanks

There are 2 date varieties for 1865 The plain 5 and the Fancy 5 that has a little hook shaped top. Your coin is the Fancy 5

It's the "fancy 5". The only proven IHC overdate is the 1888/7 (Snow-1).

I have the 700 page attribution book by Richard Snow and there are lots of overpunched dates. I have a few myself. But the above is not one - Fancy 5 is correct.

If you mean one date over a different date I think you're correct.
