thingee Pillar of the Community United States 2177 Posts	Posted 09/18/2007 11:12 pm I found this nice off centered Jefferson I found in a roll tonight. It's not largely off centered but it's a nice looking nickel In general, which modern U.S. coins are most often off centered, and which are less likely? It also has to be as off-centered as the obverse for it to be an off center strike. If the reverse is centered than you have a misaligned die strike. Report this Post to the Staff

just carl Bedrock of the Community United States 20753 Posts	Posted 09/20/2007 10:41 am I've found slight off sets like that are very common on Roosevelt dimes and Kennedy halves. Seldom on Nickels or Quarters though. My findings are the most common are Lincoln Cents in the 70's and 80's and almost any date in Roosevelt dimes. Report this Post to the Staff
magusxxx Valued Member United States 306 Posts	Posted 09/20/2007 10:54 am This is as good a place as any to ask about a slightly different error. I've tried taking picture of it but they don't come out showing anything. I have a penny where the obverse is very rececced, like the whole front is in a crater. While the reverse has little if any edge to it. I have a dime which is like this as well but not as blatent. Any ideas? Report this Post to the Staff
