1972 Lincoln Cent With A Potential Doubled Die Obverse / DDO (Pics Included) Need Some Help

I recently found a 1972 Lincoln Cent that has (at least in my own uneducated opinion) a strong doubled die obverse mostly showing on the 972 of the date and although it is fairly worn I think I see some doubling in liberty as well, posibly split serriffs on the T? Anyways I would love some opinions here. I have looked at the many 1972 DDO variations and can't find a match to this coin. And if it is the real deal what in your opinion should I do next? Pocket it, send it to get slabbed, sell it? Any advice or info would be much appreciated. I will attach some pictures. I do apologise for the qaulity it was the best I could manage on my phone. It is hard to the capture the details and the pictures don't really do the date doubling jusitce. Report this Post to the Staff

I can't disagree as I'm not super familiar with it all but the doubling on date is not a shelf but full height so I can't see it being Machine Doubling. Is a worn die capable of producing such a large double like on the 2? Again it's hard to see in pics so I will try to get a better shot when I am home tomorrow. Thanks again for your help I won't bother with getting it graded or anything but still a keeper in my eyes. Report this Post to the Staff

DDD is an effect called Die Deterioration Doubling, aka: Die Attrition.
