Mine shipped via Fedex "SmartPost" because I have a P.O. Box. I like to call it SlowPost!! Expected delivery date is 8/3. I for sure will not be the first person to post pics of the new, beautiful, gleaming, wonderful, silver eagle set to this thread.

I bought 2 extra sets on the last day figuring I would have time to see how the aftermarket was doing Then Cancel if I didn't like the way they were moving now they have moved ship date from 10/31 to 7/27 So not sure what to do, will probably end up with 2 extra sets

Don't worry. It will probably take many weeks to ship out all of the sets. Either the date change was a mistake or they are saying that there won't be any gap in shipping, that the later runs of coins will come in stock before the early stock runs dry. If we assume that they have twice as many orders to ship as they did for the 2011 sets then it will still take them two months to ship them all, getting almost to October before they ship 7/5 orders.

jeebus... I had budgeted to have the 150 for my second set at the later ship date. Now the mint says my second order is also going to probably ship sooner. I wish $150 wasn't a decent chunk of change for me the mint is driving me crazy lol

I ordered my sets the last 3 days of ordering and after seeing the comments about shipping dates for some reason mine say they were supposed to ship on the 27th as well. Of course they didnt and I havent been charged but I wonder if they just put that for all the orders now.

... All 3 shipdates were charged on my CC as of 7/30... Which is Monday? My bank usually does that when they plan on deducting the $$$ on the next business day, which is Monday 7/30... Looks like there will be only one shipdate. For those who thought different, better cancel now or make sure your bank has enogh funds if you don't want it to get declined or get overcharged with greed fees!

If it is a CC charge so unless your credit line is maxed out you shouldn't have to worry about "funds being in your account"
....and if you ARE maxed out then you probably shouldn't be charging these anyway
If it is a debit card then, yes, funds are needed in the account. It would make your life much easier if a CC was used and eliminate worries about available funds (and get FF miles also)..just pay it off when the bill arrives.

Feeling a bit down here... I ordered five sets @ 12:41 Day 1 and thusfar no CC hit, "in process" status.... Guess fumbling with their choked up servers the first day wasn't worth the effort...

I placed my order for two sets on the afternoon of June 13th and all the mint is showing is that it is on hand and reserved. This status has been unchanged for quite awhile now.
So either the mine is allowing everybody else to jump in line in front of me for fulfilling their orders or the person at the mint who is in charge of fulfilling my order is either asleep at the switch or is on vacation. With a government job you can never tell which is the correct answer.

ghostrider, the people that fulfill mint orders are not government employees. Fulfillment is contracted to PBGS (Pitney-Bowes Government Services), a private, for profit business. This is actually part of the problem, PBGS has a bad habit of violating mint policies to save money, it is probably cheaper for them to pay contract penalties (if there are any) than to strictly follow the terms of the contract.
All, the changes in expected shipping dates has no effect at all on when your sets will actually ship. These dates are and have always been totally bogus. The September and October dates were just placeholders, not actual expectations. I believe that by lumping all orders under the 7/27 date the mint is saying that there will not be any gaps in shipping, that orders will ship every day until all are fulfilled. It will take PBGS longer to fulfill the orders for this set than it did for the 2011 set, possibly twice as long. If you ordered in the last few days, your sets will ship near the end, and your CC should not be charged until shortly before your order ships. If you see a charge on your CC for a set you do not want, call the mint and cancel the order over the phone, it has not shipped yet at that point.

huh, the mint says mine are back ordered, but are going to ship on 7/27... I don't think they did. However, if they did I'm not going to complain :)
