mds308 Pillar of the Community United States 1721 Posts	Posted 11/02/2012 10:31 pm In case anybodies wondering why my first comment involves a dragon, posters original picture showed the coins other side which had a dragon. manymore Valued Member United States 347 Posts	Posted 11/04/2012 9:26 pm I'm not sure if I can help with the identification because the image of the other side of the "coin" seems to have disappeared. I did a Google image search and discovered this image which seems to have been associated with this thread at some point but is now missing. Assuming that this Google image is indeed the other side of the "coin", then the inscription is (guangxu huangdi yixiang å.‰ç»ªçš‡å¸ï¿½- åƒ) which translates as "Portrait of the (deceased) Guangxu Emperor". (This forum's software does not display certain Chinese characters.) The Guangxu Emperor ruled China from 1875 to 1908 although the Empress Dowager Cixi was the real power for a number of those years. This piece, of course, is a modern and inexpensive medal commemorating the emperor. If I have the wrong image then please just ignore my post.
