Quote: you did very well LCS knew. I told him it was .39 ASW. These were coins that he (more likely an assistant) had purchased at $5/lb. The flip side being the times that coins are purchased as silver which are not, which I am regularly removing from his foreign silver jugs. His literal offer was "How many ones do you have in your wallet." I had 4.

Quote: Picked up 4 US commemorative silver dollars in their original cases (Eisenhower centennial, Constitution, 2 1988 Olympic), 1867 Belgian 2 franc, 1917 Canadian half, 1926 Austrian half schilling, and 1943 Aussie 6 pence for $100; picked up 2 Canadian quarters (1947 and 1955) and a silver Japanese 100 yen for an additional $4. Quote: Added a lot of 20 uncirculated 1964 Kennedy half dollars. Nice looking bunch, too. Great adds!

It's sizeable - diameter is 40 mm. But not quite as heavy as the 1978-80 Casa de Moneda Onza coins that tip the scales at 33.625 g, and slightly larger at 41.5 mm. I'd like to pick up one of them next, as the screw press and balance are cool historical items. Both are larger and heavier than a U.S. silver dollar (26.73 g, 38.1 mm). An American Silver Eagle (31.103 g, 40.6 mm) is larger than the 5 pesos but smaller than the onza. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces13398.html

Okay. Fair enough. I was asking because I can figure out the dates on those easily.

@Hondo Boguss - Quote: Shark, you've been picking up some real beauties! I was trying to complete a collection of Canadian Commemorative Silver Dollars before the new year begins. However, I am still eleven short, so won't make it. According to Commems chart "Canadian Commemorative Silver Dollars (36mm) 1971 - January February 2022" there were a total of 147 commemoratives minted, with 84 distinct design types. That included 37 BU which I haven't collected. There have been 9 more in 2022 & 2023 I have included the 1935, 1939,1949, 1958, 1964 and 1967 commemoratives. Thanks for your kind words.
