No "fg" Initials

Indian1 Pillar of the Community United States 3640 Posts	Posted 12/12/2012 10:14 am To the best of my knowledge there are no actual "No FG" die varieties on any denomination ever designed by Mr G. Meaning that not one die/hub was ever produced without the FG initials. And that any missing FG is just a case of polishing or other die problems. Is this correct ? Report this Post to the Staff

Since the initials are on the design model used in the reducing lathe to create the master hub the initials would be on every master die, working hub and working die. They could in theory get chipped off of a working hub, but in that case every die produced by that hub would also be missing the initials and there would be millions and millions coins without the initials. They would be vary common and not worth any premium. Report this Post to the Staff
