OK...I have gone back and looked and cannot find a post about something unique or valuable regarding the 1950 Jefferson nickel. I found one todaybut can't remember what was supposedly special about that year. HELP AN OLD MAN'S MEMORY!
i know the 50 D is the key, but I also know I would never spend a 1950 P nickel. I remember even back in the early 70's it was hard to find a 1950 P in circulation.
The price of my first BU 1950D nickel - back in the 70's - was 9.00. Seeing current ebay prices of 7.50 - I think they have lost a lot of value since 9.00 was a lot more money back then than it is now.
