While searching through my penny rolls today, I got lucky. I found this 1992 D Close AM cent. I have found 1998 Wide AM's and 2000 Wide AM's but never imagined finding this!

Only about a dozen are known to exist?

Can you get a close-up of the "FG" ?

Enlarging your pic suggests to my eyes you found one, but we probably need closer pics to confirm your find.

to CCF. Need close up pics of AM and FG. It does look like a good chance of it being lagit.You need to get some verdicare on the obverse asap IF the pros think it should be treated,otherwise leave it as is.Here is a link you should look at http://www.lincolncentresource.com/...closeAM.html As far as $20 grand,i don't think so based on the condition of the op's coin.

Looks like it. Reverse should go AU.
Hope the obv. can get a pro fix before grading.
Should go AU also. Approx. 18 of these have been
slabbed so far. A few sold already in AU and MS grades.
I mentioned before on here that I saw the first two 92-P's
that were ever found, in hand. Both coins were from Mass.(found there) Probably a long shot here in Mass. to find a D though. One found was by a fellow member on here at one time. You still around :)
