Victorian Lamination Errors? - Coin Community Forum

Quatchi Valued Member Canada 228 Posts	Posted 05/25/2015 6:39 pm I'm curious as to how common lamination errors are in the Victorian Province of Canada Large Cents, and what effect would this type of error have on these coins' values? The coin in this photo shows a mark on the top of the back of Queen Victoria's neck just below the hairline. It appears to be a lamination error (please correct me if I'm wrong). Would this hurt the value at all, or is it common enough to not have much of an effect? Report this Post to the Staff

okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5594 Posts	Posted 05/25/2015 7:39 pm Lamination errors are fairly common in the Vicky cents, especially the early ones. I agree as above that it's PMD and value drops. Even lamination erros, unless spectacular, drop the value. Report this Post to the Staff
