I am going blind trying to assign a VAM to this 1878-S short noch Morgan. It's got a broken R and a broken 4th star and maybe engraved wing feathers.
Help!

I am *tentatively* at VAM-23 for it, although what seems like overpolishing in the eagle's right wing is throwing me off a bit.

This is a tough one. All the pups you posted are fairly common and it really boils down to the mint mark (location) and the engraved feathers. I agree with Dave's tentative assessment of VAM23.
