Don't you wish you could visit most of those countries that you have coins from Coin ? ... JB definitely has some spectacular additions to his IHC collection ! Makes me want to pull mine out, blow the dust off the album, see what all I'm missing, and go about pursuing some more of these too ! A major problem of mine, is that I need to focus on one thing until I get it completed, or at least as much as I'm able to.....

I could not imagine what it would be like to have only one set taunting me!

I bought 300 IKEs for about $400. It turned out to be a great gift idea. Everyone who received an IKE showed a great interest in this coin.

A treasure dropped into my husbands lap yesterday when we were in San Francisco. A 1905 Barber dime. Now I need practice on how to get them both to be the same size..

I have to agree, funny how much time I spend looking at an old coin and a modern. The modern coin raw or slabbed gets a quick look and put into its place. The old one, no matter what condition, I get out the loop, even the scope and spend "hours" looking for something in chance of finding a discovery! Even if I do not find something unusual, it is amazing the neat details of these finer coins. Too bad we did not keep those designs around, but I guess, times change, and so do the tastes of the people who run the mints and make the decisions. But it should be noted, even by the new people in charge, that the coins of today which get the most interest are the new versions of old designs. The 2001 Indian Head Commemorative, the ASE, the 2009 St. Gaudens high relief and the like! Alan Hepler
