Quote: Saucers shipped....two coin sets still processing. I didn't think any of the saucers were shipping yet. Please let us know when you get them. Would be nice to know how many they actually had available.

Quote: A kind person from CCF has ordered the two coin half dollar set and the proof silver dollar for me. Quote: I did start at 12:00; finished at 12:13, outside in a car, and 2 out of 5 bars reception on my phone. I was VERY surprised! Now that is dedication.

Quote: Now that is dedication. Thanks jbuck. Dedication, or determination is ordering (4) of the 2011 ASE 5 coin sets, trying to get through on 2 computers, and a landline phone for close to two hours; and YES......I got them!

Just saw the 5 oz on HSN. Looks really nice and would look awesome as a display piece. Very tempted to pick one up now. As someone mentioned on another post, the capsule is not curved. At least not the helmet side. Hard to tell if the footprint side was curved or not. He had one outside the capsule which was getting most of the air time. There was also a slabbed 5 oz and the holder was not curved on either side. Just very thick.

I just looked online and saw pictures of the 5oz capsule. I'm not a fan, but I can't tell if I really don't like it (the capsule) or if it is just turning me off because I haven't seen a capsule with that much standoff before. Maybe I will get used to it.

Gold jumped a bit on Friday (day after the release) so I wonder what the $5 will go for next week...?

I don't believe there will be an immediate change due to a 1 day increase of the Au spot price outside of the current pricing range. The Mint determines their prices based on the weekly average of the London Au Fix price. They explain how they determine price changes here.

Just did the math - considering opening day sales, "we" (not me though) have effectively donated $5.1M to the three recipient organizations (divided as follows: 50% to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's "Destination Moon" exhibit; 25% each to the Astronauts Memorial Foundation & to the Astronauts Scholarship Foundation).

I waited until Friday to place my order of 1 PF dollar, 1 UNC dollar, 1 Half Dollar set. Waited so I could get the Jefferson Ag medal in the same shipment (I don't order enough to get free shipping.) My order status still listed as "Processing". Anyone else taking the slow train?

I would have thought there'd be more interest in the set because of the limited number of the Reverse Proof Kennedy half. Sort of like the 1998-s matte half dollar or the 1994 and '97 matte-finish Jefferson nickels. Thoughts?
