Actually my husband found one, and I found the other. The first one is a 1970 quarter. The quarter weighs 4.1g, and is slightly thinner than a normal quarter. The next quarter, I found in the old coin jar, and I am baffled as I can find absolutely no information about it. My references are pretty much limited to google search so maybe I'm just not looking in the right place but anyhow, it is a 1997 D Washington quarter, it is extremely thin, with all devices in place however looking extremely flat, it has all of its ridges, and tips the scale at 5.6 grams and it is the same diameter as a regular quarter. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 11/23/2018 11:33 am I think the 1997 is just poorly struck, the 1970 looks like it was struck on dime stock (Not dime planchet) Dime stock means the quarter size blanck was accidentally punched from strip that was rolled to the thickness used for dimes.
