It couldn't be debris because it is too wide Maybe a die gouge between the E and the R pushed the "wall" of the "R" relief in? or maybe it chipped, but the chipped piece is still attached loosely. I am seeing: 1. a gouge mark (white arrow) extending down through the interrupted area, 2. the R has a small "bump" area where the leg was attached (not marked), 3. a remnant of the original attached leg pushed to the right (pink arrow) The rest of the leg's metal was moved to the left - again the coloring of the area it used to be is lighter.
