Numisma Pillar of the Community United States 4963 Posts	Posted 03/14/2021 4:56 pm This is called a MAD (misaligned die). In this case only one die is off center, but a true off-center strike will have both sides offset. These only carry a premium if part of the design is missing. Report this Post to the Staff

The obverse die struck the reeded collar and some of the design was transferred to the rim gutter. This seems to be more pronounced on misaligned die strikes.
