I recently have figured out how to spot doubling (I think) . The possible triple die is in the second pic.. the S and the U. Any and all feedback encouraged and welcomed.
I believe it is DDD, as the letters are drawn out toward the edge from die wear.
Suffering from bust half fever. Want to learn how to attribute early half dollars by die variety? Click Here: http://goccf.com/t/434955 Shoot me a PM if you are looking to sell bust halves.
There are no DDR's on that area of the design on any of the dies. The DDR is on the central areas of the designs. Look up the listings for all of the DDR's. You will not find any listings away from the center design areas: http://doubleddie.com/719755.html Look at these listings to see what to look for on the DDR's. (while you are looking note what to look for also on the DDO's as well) What you are seeing is Machine Doubling on the reverse of your coin.
