A medal by T.Pingo commemorating George III's Accession in 1760. BHM #3, 41mm.
Apparently George was a bit jowly even at 22.

yarm, that's one glorious, excellent medal. I'm lovin' it.

.......and while minting technology was very much advanced in the West, allowing the production of such high-quality medals, meanwhile Korea we were still casting our coinage, charms and amulets.

I must admit, I wouldn't have expected to see Britannia holding a Liberty Cap, and as long ago as 1760!

The Phrygian Cap goes way back in time - long long before the US revolutionary war.
