1982 D Nickel. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to call this a black beauty or not. But my biggest concern is it looks like there has been something stamped into the reverse side. Another circular image of some sort. I have marked places for better understanding.

Never heard of Pareidolia. But after reading the definition and examples, I see what you mean. You just may be right. I'm more afraid of wiping the coin down and losing value on it to find out for sure, so that's why I asked. Appreciate the knowledge for sure though. Now you got my mind wondering how often I really do that lol.
