so even though there is a ding in one of the bands it counts as full bands as long as they are completely seperate? I thought it had to be perfect bands, fully rounded still and no dings or anything? Am I wrong?
bherring, that's not a good example of a non-FSB coin, because it is circulated. That coin may have been full bands when it was struck.
Malissa, there can be dings on the horizontal bands and it still receive that designation. I believe that dings on the bell lines of a Franklin half *would* prevent it from qualifying as "full bell lines".
There is an example of a coin that is 'split bands', but not 'Full split bands'. In other words, the bands are kind of full split, but not quite there (better than the picture shows). A completely non-split band coin would have even less divide between the bands, including the top and bottom ones.
