I'm new to this so I appreciate your help/patience. Is this a 1952 D D/D RPM? Thank you for your insight.

Hard to tell if it was a RPM or not. The top upper serif looks altered. While it appears as lower south RPM could be possible, I don't see a listing on coppercoins for something like this. Taking a farther view back there was quite a hit on the date mintmark area. So that may have ruined the chance if ID-ing this one.

If you go to the NGC varieties listing, and look at the 1952 D/D VP-001 1C MS photo, it looks very similar. Obviously, that coin is in much better condition.

The bottom of the D is what looks similar. Thank you everyone.

I'd say you're partially right.

Even though it says that is CONECA RPM-020, that picture is not RPM-020. The mintmark is too far from the 5 and the width of the secondary mintmark is smaller than the one on RPM-020. NGC's pic looks like RPM-010.

See RPM-020 is slightly different: http://www.varietyvista.com/02a%20L...2DRPM020.htm

This would be the second wrong photo I found on NGC VarietyPlus today...

I just looked at Coppercoins for this and it didn't have images for 1952D-1MM-010. But it does appear to be RPM-010.
