I'd call this EF-40 for details, with some porosity as expected from environmental exposure. The date is characteristically weak, common for the pre-1925 SLQs. Really terrific. Not nearly as damaged as one would expect from a buried coin, I would give this an XF grade, very close to AU. Some people have all the luck...A great reason to keep digging !
