Looks like there's something between the 5 and the six, and the edge of the coin Would like to see what you think. The coin and pictures are lacking. I know

@arch, yes that closeup is pretty blurry. Are you talking about the silvery grey material at the rim? That is a foreign substance such as solder.

Aside from considerable circulation wear/damage, I can't distinguish what might be going on with the date--given the posted pics.

It looked to me like AD. Stamped over the 5 between the 5 and the 6. And Another thing stamped between the thicks and the edge of the coin. You can't say that?
