Dearborn Moderator United States 103813 Posts	Posted Today 1H 10M ago @Pertinax: That looks like a die clash to me (or maybe a vise job), Notice that it is raised and upside down and backwards. not an intentional alteration of a coin done at the mint. Older Belgian coins are a great example where they mint a coin with French text and another with Belgian text on the same year coin issues.
