I couldn't believe my luck yesterday. I went to Walmart for some milk, and got a 1964 dime in change at the self-checkout. I then proceeded to leave and on my way out I saw a dime in the change bowl of one of those 'win a prize' machines. To my amazement it was a Barber 1893-O dime! It's pretty beat up, but a great find I think.

My haul from Sept 15 through today. Went to my usual grocery this morning and nothing, but came back around 11:30 to get flu shots with my wife and found: 1934 cent, 1960D dime, 2000 2 pence and the chewed up Zincoln.

The other coins were found during September and October and, yet again, many seem as if they never should have rejected. Salvation Army benefits again!

Then, today, I got this 2011-S President Garfield proof dollar from the same machine.

The machine also spits out Susan B. Anthonys like crazy, so I've been able to put together a circulation set from it.

Only one clad dime by my wife until yesterday. I make a run to several stores about every other week to get things not available nearby or at a better price. I've probably checked the Coinstar at one of them at least twenty times before without finding a thing. This was yesterday's haul:

It really pays to keep trying.

Nice finds!

I can see why one dime was rejected... worn to the core!

Dumped $22 in cents at bank coin counter and found this... My first loonie!! Was very excited to get it. I've gotten 2 or 3 Canadian dimes and a 1940 wheat before.. This definitely was more exciting.
