Fatman Valued Member United States 362 Posts	Posted 01/12/2013 9:34 pm I was given two "silver" pieces today for $5.00. I already know that one piece is German silver, aka a paperweight, the other a questionable silver round stamped with a pot leaf/Ben Franklin wisdom and marked 999 fine silver. It weighs a perfect troy ounce but as it is so shiny and new, I was wondering if there is a way to test it to see if it is actually silver. Also I'm not gonna buy a silver test kit and I live in a town about the size of Hee-Haws cornfield. Report this Post to the Staff
