First Eurocoin With King Willem-Alexander (Netherlands 10â‚¬)

There are different coins: - 10 eurocoin UNC in coincard, 10 eurocoin BU in coincard, 10 eurocoin silver proof - 20 eurocoin GOLD proof - 50 eurocoin GOLD proof. These coins are official eurocoins. Collectcoins Valued Member Netherlands 173 Posts	Posted 04/17/2013 12:47 pm In Europe UNC and BU are different: UNC = Uncirculated BU = Briliant Uncirculated After the production the coin will fall in a bucket. You will have a UNC (it is possible that the coin will have a little scratch because of the falling) If the coin after the production will be caught (and doesn't fall in a bucket) the coin will be BU (normaly the coin won't have scratches) Report this Post to the Staff

chrisild Pillar of the Community Germany 1238 Posts	Posted 04/18/2013 04:35 am As far as I know, "BU" coins are minted in a way that is different from the procedure for regular "unc" coins. This is, for example, how the British Royal Mint puts it: "Proof coins can be produced at a rate of between 50 and 100 an hour. Brilliant Uncirculated coins can be produced far faster â€" up to 300 a minute. Circulating coins can be produced more than twice as fast again, up to 750 coins a minute."
