I bought ten rolls today and found this one. I hope it's real, I haven't found anything special yet.

The first photo appears to be the one.

The second photo shows a D mint. As far as I know, there is no 1997D doubled ear discovered yet.
Of course that doesn't mean there may not be any out there.

If you can take a sharper picture it would help more.

It is the same coin. The ear looked like there was more detail in the ear then the other 1997 d pennies. I posted the coin because I am very new to collecting and really enjoy looking through circulation coins. It's like treasure hunting. I use my iPhone camera because I don't have a new camera yet.

The doubled earlobe is on the 1997 plain. This looks like a normal coin.

I'm sure you will, theworstever. It's just a matter of time.

I'm new to this too. I started about 5 months ago and after searching through no more than 2 boxes of pennies and a half a box of quarters since then, I've found 5 doubled-earlobes, about a dozen other DDOs & DDRs, 3 WAMs(all of them this month), 4 delams, numerous MDs, about a dozen good size chips, and too-many-to-list of the other less significant die errors. (although I'm still searching for my first trail!)

Have patience and continue your search.
