Well, a month has gone by sense this thread began. Still working on my slabbed set of Silver Eagles. I find it enjoyable searching for a good deal, checking the on line dealers and yea even ebay once in a while. My daughter bought me a NGC box that holds 20 of them (for Christmas)...Great Gift! I wonder how the OP The Silver Searcher is making out?
I also am 21 into the set of NGC MS69 ASEs brown labels. Not only am I OCD about them all being the same grade I also want all the labels and holders to match. Once my set is complete I will start swapping them out until I have all edgeview holders.
Coins with a 70 grade are nice but I just can't see paying triple what 69 cost when only an expert could ever tell the difference. I also received a 64 bootlegger graded MS70 from a lesser known company that has scratches all over it.
As long as you don't over pay your collection should hold it's value if not increase, but who really knows what will happen. I would much rather have money in hard form rather than paper.
