Quote: This looks like it was in somebody's pocket for a long time. Jerry Picker: They use to make those as good luck charms to be carried in the pocket or on a key chain. Hence...the horse shoe My Dad always carried one. I still have it.

Going to add these two to the pocket tomorrow. I had hoped to add them on the 1st of the year but have been too busy to take pics of the big ones. The eagle on the Constitution is one of my 2 favorite gold commemorative designs. The other is the 1999 George Washington Death Bicentennial but since they reissued the design on the 2021 quarters . . . . . I found a good deal on an ICG MS60 Smithsonian bimetallic on ebay but waited too long. I wanted to go with the 1994 World Cup since the trophy side is mostly blank fields but I was shopping by price so I ended up with the Seoul Olympics. I'll have to cut the slab open at work. Not sure what the "US Vault Collection" was but they don't seem to bring any premium.

A question for all participants of the conversation. What do you plan to do with these coins later, send them for evaluation in the hope of getting a PO-01?

Yup, that is the general idea. Here is an update of the ATB after 1 week, it is looking a bit "poorer."

I have had pocket pieces slabbed in the past and turned a tidy profit. I will probably do it again. the money isn't good enough to do it if you arent having fun. its about the journey.

2021 type 2 ASE, bought a better one for my album, so this one is in a capsule in my watch pocket , previously a Kennedy half dollar worn flat, not silver.

It's been a while since I last checked in. Covid really slowed the process down for a while, so here's the 1st pics, and todays. Straight out of the pocket, shared with all Canadian coinage, of my work pants. It rubs off real easy, so when it stops showing up, then we're getting somewhere. The ding I "added", at 8:00, is showing some wear.
