Thanks Silveroid, I'm trying my luck at Canada Post on Tuesday, and if nothing works for me, nothing's lost.

Thanks Silveroid for a great report and super photos from the show! The coins look terrific. I am very glad I decided the buy the set. With all the gold coins being whipped off the shelves so fast, I consider myself lucky to have got one from the mint. If you ordered yours from CC & C, relax and don't worry. You will get it. I do hope your son get a little bit of coin fever even if he was too distracted by all those really exciting things going on. By the way, I'll bet you're glad to be out of your Lex Luthor suit.

The packaging is rather cheap, especially given the premium price of the coins. I wonder if Warner is getting more than the $20/coin they got last time?

I do not know, how all this licensing regulation go, but looks like the agreement for several years / amount of issues, and RCM will use it for maximum. Disregards 75-th anniversary or N-th year after 75-th anniversary. Although being purely pop-style items (the same as many others, that people willing to pay for....all FunExpo was full of this stuff), the RCM introduced some creativity and novelty (specially in 2013).

I'm just wondering by looking at all the listings on ebay if you were to sell one of the gold superman coins how would you send it to the seller to make sure they get it. And how would you insure it if something were to happen cause even if you bought say $1000 insurance with canada post don't they not cover numastics that high. What about ups or fedex? Cause if I can somehow get my hands on 2 I will have to sell one and pray my wife lets me keep the other lol.

Quote: I remember that 2013 gold coin starting to be in "buy it now" at $2,000, before that always auctions so maybe there is less interest for this second coin Actually the price started pretty low when it first came out. The initial ones sold in the $800's and 900's and did not reach $2000 until 7 -10 days after the release. No one knew what to do with the coins because there were so expensive for most collectors. The coins were not a instant sellout. MC members had a shot of them for a whole week but they did not sell out. The gold coin even reached the public. It was a big surprise hit, some people thought they would do poorly.

Interesting question... I think, the worst case that could happen - the buyer just will say: "I didn't receive the coin. Signature? Have no idea who signed there". In this case, there is "buyer protection policy" activated, and seller just remains with nothing: no money, no coin. I believe, that for $100 the people will not do this dirty scam, but for $1000 - why not? The less trouble, if buyer will say "I got empty box" or "I got the fake"....but this is preventable, if the fact of packaging+sending will be video-documented and clerk in the PO will agree to sign. Quote: It was a big surprise hit, some people thought they would do poorly. That's right. Over a pages of the thread, we agreed, that RCM made a mistake, minting 14k gold coloured coin for such event. We decided to pass over it. But it turned to be in opposite. I still think, that majority of collectors added it to the collections, driven by the hype (of cause with exceptions like NuMoose*). What didn't happen, unlike some predictions, that the coin will hit the $3.000 for 2013-2014 Christmas, and later - $5.000 mark.

My guess is the line-ups at the Mint boutique in Vancouver will start around 5 am for the superman coins on September 2nd.

Since each post office is allowed to order only 1 per outlet, one of the 2 will be very unhappy.

And these 2 people don't know that the manager is going to order the coin for his VP client.
