Tough coin. Unfortunately, this one spent some time in water or buried - porosity on the obverse. Tough to grade. Better than an XF, but not a 58. Give this an AU50 details.

I think that this is a type of woody. I have seen this effect before; on lesser and greater scales. If this is indeed a woody then I am thinking MS63BN. There are a lot of reasons to suspect that the surface effect is not from a buried coin that has been cleaned and re-toned. Not the least of which is the uniformity of the surfaces.

MS details, cleaned....sorry, have to go by the pics. Too bad the obverse got messed with.

The obverse surface is scratched and finely pitted. It's a cool coin in hand, most of the $ value is gone but interesting to look at, IMO.
