scottk Pillar of the Community United States 767 Posts	Posted 12/25/2014 10:15 pm Thanks Ed. The improvement is coming from finding trustworthy and knowledgable sellers who are very upfront about what they are selling. The obverse of that 1840 according to the seller is "very lightly cleaned". He has lots of coins listed as "cleaned" "lightly cleaned" "very lightly cleaned" "couple of rim dings" etc... I actually wound up passing on both of those coins, and went for this one. Edited by scottk 12/25/2014 10:18 pm Report this Post to the Staff

Celticsoul Pillar of the Community United States 1566 Posts	Posted 01/03/2015 7:44 pm I've been looking for a higher grade 41 so the coin you went with is a good choice. Early 40s seem to be scarce in higher grades. They are either garbage or gorgeous take your pick. Report this Post to the Staff
