first, let me start by saying I'm from the United States, so I don't know much if anything about Canadian cents, although I suppose error should be similar. could this be a slight straight clip? if not, what is it?

Hard to say if it is a straight clip or a curved clip, since the collar die has turned the coin into a 12-sided coin. Since the clip does not 'cut' into the fields, I would just call it a 'rim clip' (as PCGS does with examples like this).

I think it might be PMD. But of course, wait for other opinions.

It's definitely not PMD. The rim at the end of the clip tapers off, and the Blakesley effect is present. Both these indicate a real clip on this coin.

I agree. Genuine clip. They are difficult to find on pennies after 1981 so it's really a great find.

yay! after looking closer it is curved, and not a straight clip. what would something like this be worth?
