Swiss 10 Centimes? I thought the fractional franc denomination was Rappen in Switzerland.

I checked into this before I posted the Centimes name. The denomination is also known as Rappen, but I saw more references to Centimes. If Rappen is actually it, I apologize for the error.

I agree with XoG; I'm not even 20% of the way through 25000 rolls, and I'm down to five to complete the set. I'm surprised the two warnickels haven't appeared yet (43D,44S), and I have found the 38s and 39s, so I think the others are entirely possible. I've got a long way to go!

Yea, I'm real surprised you havent found those last to War Nickels. Considering you've found so many of the other 9, its real odd those two havent surfaced at least once.... Out of curiosity, how many 46S have you found CND? --gary

I went thru $60 in nickels this evening and found 9 pre-60, 1 of which is a 1945s in almost ag. I could barely see the S on the back (about half of it)...it's the most worn War Nickel I have in the collection.

CND- I want to thank you for starting this thread, and everyone who has contributed. I have learned more about nickels in the two evenings it took me to read it :) than I would have ever guessed. Good luck all!

grampa - A quick look at my spreadsheet and I see I've found 11 55Ds, so I don't think it's anything other then pre-1959. I don't have my RedBook on me, but I do believe there is a 55d over s that is worth something.
