Just think if you keep all the 64's from all the boxes you go through you will have a lot of money.

Unless you are stealing the coins from someone then you wouldn't have a lot of money, you would have what you had when you started the search. Just one big old pile of 64's would be on the side.

I know what you mean lol, hey if one of us wanted to put some money aside I guess the 64s would be a good way to hold onto it and not spend it. I guess I just do that with the pre 1960 nickels. I mean besides the War Nickels and the semi key dates, are they ever going to be worth more then face?

I just released hundreds of common-date low-grade pre-1960's for you all.

googoo, when the composition of the nickel is finally changed (likely in 2013), I think the older dated nickels will be a lot harder to find in circulation than they are today. It's sort of the same with Wheat cents. They're already mostly gone from circulation, but the ones that most people find are from the 1950's, and some from the 1940's. For me at least, anything from the 1930's and earlier I've rarely found in circulation or in rolls.

One last thing: This is a random question, but how do I quote other people on this forum? I can't find a quote button anywhere. =\

I have two boxes of nickels waiting at home for me.

And how you quote peope is you type: [.q.u.o.t.e.] type here [./q.u.o.t.e.]

type inbetween those two quotes whatever you want to be quoted. Make sure you get rid of all of the periods I typed. Those just make it so it does not work so I can show you. Make sure the second one has the backslash.

So just copy paste whatever you want to be quoted into those two quotes I showed you. This is at least how I do it. Not sure if there is another way to quote people.

Hope all of that helped.

It did. Thank you :-)

Oh and since we are on the nickel topic, I bought $8 today at Wells Fargo, but only got a 1954S.

I saw yours, you got like 4 War Nickels and a buffalo?

I did goo this week. I got a 1926 mercury searching dimes, I got a buffalo and 2 War Nickels in nickels, and I just found an Indian Head cent while searching cents. I still have another box of nickels to go through. I'm hoping for a Liberty nickel. lol. just kidding of course.

That's a nice 1938D. I only have two 1938P's, one of which I found today in a roll. You can read about it in the "Today's Nickel Roll Finds" topic :-D

Why are you keeping the 1970S? Is it a low mintage or something?
