I got around $20 in nickels today and found some pre 1959's, but no silver. I did find a neat 1940 S and a 1939 P (I've yet to find a 1939 S or 1939 D)

Hello,

Just started collecting Jefferson nickels about 1 month ago and I have a long way to go, but I did get a couple of good finds tonight. Got $10 worth from my grocery store in rolls and low and behold I got a 1941 plain and a 1942-s War Nickel. That alone was worth the look form the checker when I asked her for $10 in nickels :P

Working on my 3rd box and last night managed to fill 4 spots in my album:

1939
1941S
1947D
1956D

Also pulled a Moroccan 1/2 dirham. Random.

Still plenty of holes to go and about 12 rolls left from the box to go through!

Got a box today onlyto find later that it was ALL 2011 AGAIN.

Someone needs to tell the dummies at the mint to stop making these pieces of junk.

I picked up $20 in Customer Rolled Nickels today, and opened them up on the bus on the way home. I found a 1940-D, (4) 1946 and a 1944-P Silver Nickel in tarnished condition. It's pretty good, I guess! I was going for half dollars, but the bank I went to did not have any (same bank I got a 40%ner from buying just 2) so I bought these nickels!
