Searched another brinks box last night ended up with a few finds
(4) 1943P SWN
(1) 2009D
(3) Canadian
(1) 2001 Panama Nickel
and then various other dates which I was looking for. I'm happy finding 1 coin so finding 5 solid keepers is awesome!

I found another War Nickel, a 1943 P.  Quote:

I think this will help us all find patterns of finds in various rolls.
thanks! Was this directed towards me or to all members as a whole? The 1942 P War Nickel was from a customer roll, while the 1937 Buffalo and the 1943 P War Nickel were from those blue & white machine wrapped rolls. Edited by TheDanMan

I did a Brinks box last night, 1 silver(43P) and a 51s in decent shape.Other than that it was really slim pickin'!

Robbudo,I will list what kinds of rolls I am searching but I will tell you,after 8 years of searching,it is totally the luck of the draw. I have found great things in all kinds of rolls,including CWR's. If you start seeing patterns it will be purely coincidental.

robbudo,a stastician with a roll searching addiction is probably a near fatal combination. Before long we will see you on milk cartons reported as missing because you will go into seclusion. I had to rertire so I could ramp up my roll searching!

I bought a $100 box of nickels for the first time today. I found way too many 2011 D nickels and no Buffalo or War Nickels. Here are my finds: 1939 P 1940 P 1940 S 1941 P x2 1941 D x2 1946 P x2 1946 D x2 1947 D 1953 P x2 1954 P 1954 D 1957 D x3 1958 D x4 1959 D 1960 P 1960 D x4 1961 D x2 2009 D 1993 Canadian (I threw it back in since it's not 99.9% nickel) I know that most of you do not keep anything 1960-current (sans 2009) but I like to keep the 1960 and 1961 nickels since those also seem to be getting a bit scarce and they are 51 and 52 years old, respectively. I do not think I will keep any 1962's (especially the D mintmarks) because they minted so many of them. Both 1960 and 1961 no mintmark have a much lower mintage than their Denver counterparts, so I may keep only the ones minted in Philadelphia for the time being. |

Just wanted some opinions on this. Don't really know anything about die breaks/cracks, Cud, etc but this caught my eye. Sorry about the picture but the camera on my phone is all I have at the moment. It's a 1946S with what appears to be Cud beginning above the LU in pluribus and then the extension of some sort coming down.  |

jdbeiber, looks like that could be a lamination, but i'd need to see a close up pic of the area in question. neat find if it is, but it wouldn't add much a premium.

After a quick search of google images that's what it appears to be. Sadly, that's the best picture I can get with it still being in focus.
