Sorry for the single pic but I'm short on time. Will post more pics later. What do you think of this Twenty Cent Piece? Surfaces are not "bubbly" under magnification. Strike is strong. Not magnetic. Weight is correct. The stars look great which I have never seen "correct" on any counterfeit. I am hesitant because the rim looks a little "off" but the lack of a reeded edge on these might explain that. What do you guys think? Edited by jerseyben 05/02/2016 8:38 pm

Not an expert on these, but it looks real and mid AU range.

I'm thinking it's real. I was wondering about the simple font used for 'LIBERTY', but I guess that's how it's supposed to be.

It is funny. I never paid much attention to this series but I just picked up 2 examples of this coin this past weekend. I never realized how odd some of the design elements are. For instance, as noted above, LIBERTY is raised and appears crude in nature. The rim is very off-putting, being smooth and not reeded. On the reverse, the feathers seem to blend together and the tops of the wings appear worn, seemingly even on uncirculated examples.

Quote: On the reverse, the feathers seem to blend together and the tops of the wings appear worn, seemingly even on uncirculated examples. The tops of the wings are areas most likely to suffer from strike related weakness. Paragraph 4 on the following link explains the reason why. http://doubledimes.com/Grading.html

No reverse pic, but I'd tend to agree with AU-58.
