Wow, I didn't realize the machines used to seal the packages were so violent!! I got a food saver machine ( and yes I sometimes use this in Numismatics too) and there is no way it could leave behind any marks on a coin

Never seen one of those before, it does look a little violent considering the machine doesn't put holes in the plastic..but the pattern seems to fit. Has anyone else seen one like this?

I have seen this effect before, called Sealer Damage. It does look brutal on the little 10¢ coin!

The obverse doesn't have much damage, the rim is scraped though.
