I posted a 2017 P Lincoln Shield cent with a Interior Die Break on July 18th, 2018,
Today, I found another one from the same die pair.
From 7/18/2018.

Today's find from 8/3/2018. It was found from a circulated bankroll, from a bank box of U.S. Pennies.
This die has been also over polished as well.

Thats a big interior die break for a modern Lincoln Cent! Its listed as IDB-1c-2017P-02 on Cuds on coins. I don't see a record for a sale of one, but I'm sure it would bring a decent premium

Thank you XavierOfGreen! It's a big one. It would definitely bring a decent premium, if I wanted to sell it. It's pretty odd that I have found two from the same exact die pair.

They they came from the same roll. They can happen that way. In a OBW roll I've found 19 of the same die pairs, two different times. (1945-D and 2006) Another time I found 33 different die pairs in one OBW new roll. So they can vary.

The second coin seems to be a later die state.
Do you guys think the weak strike on the reverse is due to the obverse die break, or was it just a lump of grease there.

Coop, that's awesome that they came from the same roll. It can happen sometimes. Thank you Tunnioc! The second coin appears to be in a more advanced stage than the first one. To be honest, the weak strike on the obverse was caused by over polishing the die I think. On the reverse, I can't tell if it was caused by the Die Break, or something else.

It looks like it is almost a Retained Cud?

Coop, it was getting very close to a Retained Cud. The Die Crack unfortunately does not reach to the other side of the rim.

Probably be the only year. I doubted that they would not continue it. But, what do I know?
