It has an extra 8 next to the T in trust. I did an overlay with the original 8 and the extra 8 and the sizes match up. Feel free to do an overlay yourself with the pics provided.. can anyone confirm this?

There have been numerous examples of such ( extra letter, star, number)seen on the edge of golden dollars and just like large font, small font, flat font, matte edge finish there have not been a solid explanation of the cause given by experts, but one explanation for the extra device on the edge which made sense was a broken piece of a die falling in the edge lettering chamber and getting struck onto the next coins edge!

I'm thinking that this is damage from coin contact.
