Been collecting since 1968
I still get old nickels, wheaties & occasionally a silver coin in circulation! Just found a War Nickel.
I collect Silver Dollars, a few gold coins (sold those recently) ANd I buy junk silver coins -fun way to get cheap coins!

I recently was given a collection of ancient Bible era, Greek, Roman, etc coins. These were collected by an Economics Professor in the 50s-60s as a teaching tool!
SOme of the silver coins look suspect - I have the original papers -purchased in India (In Person) Will post a photo later. Here is an 1833 Large Cent I found near my home below an old antebellum plantation.Last image I put in Photoshop converted to greyscale & sharpened to bring out detail

Have one Peace dollar which I love and want to get more down the track. Haven't even got one toasted Wheatie like the one you found. Wheaties seem rare in Oz.
