Potentially Faked 1914 D Wheat Penny

OGjimbo New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 02/27/2021 2:12 pm I found this penny in one of my old Lincoln Penny collecting books and I believe this is not actually a 1914 D penny, but rather a 1944 D penny that somebody tried altering by scratching off the rest of the first "4" in "1944" to try and make it look like a "1". The 1 should be centered between the 9 & 4 on a genuine 1914. For the record, that is a very poor attempt. Report this Post to the Staff
