On a doubled die, the spread is seen on the centers of the devices, not on the outside/inside edges of the devices. When you look on the outside/inside edges, it is usually Machine Doubling or a die wear issue that affected the coin. Never a plus for the coin. Either a striking event or a die wear event. Neither have a premium. Just knowing what it is, is the addition of knowledge. Move on to the next coin when you see this. (And don't look on the outer edges of devices.
