I just finished a box with 18 US silver dimes including 4 Mercury's (1936 x2, 1936s, 1942s)! That doubles my previous high!

Finds for the last two days out of roughly 40ish rolls from random banks, yielded a really nice 46D and a disgusting 58D.

That is amazing to be finding Mercury dimes in roll searching. Congrats sich0015! I only search a few rolls per year, to find the latest ones to fill a couple of books. |

Searched through $500 worth today, one box and 50 customer rolls. The box yielded a 1962 Roosevelt and, surprisingly, a 1941 Merc! The customer rolls yielded two 1957-D's, a 1946, and four Canadians. Later, when I was dumping, I found another 1957-D in the reject tray.

It was a special issue dime, minted at West Point, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Roosevelt dime. It was included with the 1996 uncirculated coin set. |

Hey all, love reading this! I just started roll searching, and began with my first $200 last week...and got nothing...however, I got another $200 yesterday and came out with a terrible condidition Mercury (194_) as well as a nice 1954 :) Made my day! Also got a 1968 canadian dime...is this silver?
Off to dump tomorrow so I can buy some more!

1974 was the last circulation strike S. There have been non-proof S mints since then, for example Bicentennial uncs and some commem dollars.
