Thanks Murr! I went back out to one more bank close to home, they had $270 in dimes and $130 in halves. I scored 3-40's from the halves and 9 silvers from the dimes, never expected that! One roll had 2 silvers...doesn't get any easier, now to dump.

Thanks everyone. Monks, there were only 7 rolls of halves in the pic, in the bag are dimes.
Tonite I tore through another $800 in cwr dimes that I picked up from one bank on the way home from work. Searched em after dinner and found 5 rosies and a silver sailboat. I'm usually out metal detecting heavily this time of year, but the spots are all pounded (by me) and roll searching sure takes the edge off.

Picked up 6 rolls yesterday, and scored another silver dime, this one a 1948. Total, 10 rolls, two silver dimes. I'm way, way ahead of the curve with my luck so far!

wildspinx,

How did you get approval to check coins in a coin counter?

Was this a CoinStar-type device (located in a grocery store etc.) where people deposit loose change in exchange for currency?

Could you give us some details on exactly what device you are referring to etc.?

and how you arranged this venture?

thanks,

mdpmedia

I assume it was a coin counter at a bank. I'm sure I could probably buy bags from the banks where I dump coins.
