Poll Question
My next purchase, I've decided on slabbed Morgan, but I can decide on which of these two I like better. Both are about the same price:

This one is ANACS slabbed with a MS-62 grade VAM 22 R-3 Bright White
Morgan-Decisions,-Decisions

This is also ANACS slabbed, graded MS-63 VAM 1A.2 R-4 Champagne toning
Morgan-Decisions,-Decisions

There's only a difference of $5.00 between the two, so the prices are not a factor in my decision at all.

What do you all think?

I'd take the higher-graded coin simply because the grade is higher. Neither are particularly rare in Mint State, and neither VAM is a value-added feature.
Rest in Peace

I'd take the first one because I think it has more eye appeal. However, I would hold out for something more toned.

I like the tone on the Pilly coin. the fact that it is a grade higher is just icing.

I would also choose the higher grade one also. Though if it were me I would buy both.

And a higher grade to boot! Easy choice!
(Why not just get both?)

I like that myself.

That would blow what I have left in this month's coin budget, and if I see something else I may want I would have to wait until next month and it could be gone.

Well fortunately, K-mart doesn't sell coins for collection.

Okay, first thank you to all who gave their opinion on this decision.

My choice will be the MS-63, not so much because of the higher grade on it as much as the attractiveness of the champagne toning on the rim. As I said in the beginning there's only a $5.00 difference in price between the two coins and that is not a factor for me.

Again thanks everyone.

I prefer the bright white coins over coins with toning.

Everyone has their own preference. When it comes to older coins like Morgans, Trades, SLQs, Standing and Seated Libertys, I like natural toning when it's present. It lends some character to the coin I think.
