Are you happy with them?

Then yes. it was a good deal.

And considering a morgan has $19.05 (silver at $24.63) worth of silver.. sure. you paid spot. which is always a good deal on morgans. Thats a price I would have expected to pay when silver was below $20.

That's what I thought. I was surprised they had not changed the price to reflect the spot increase. It could always go down so I guess they hedge their bets.

I bought them for the silver value more than the numismatic value so I am happy.

I normally avoid the junk bins.

Interesting article on the melt price of silver.

I did get a pretty good deal as long as silver keeps rising.

As Ian said, if you are happy, it's a good deal. Sometimes the worst thing you can do is ask if something was a good deal. You can go from being happy with your coins to hating them after someone says you got a bad deal. Plus, almost always someone out there got a better deal.

I am guessing they were all 1921? Morgans werent minted in 1920 and werent minted in 1922 either so 1921 is the only date you could have gotten and be a Morgan. If there are any dates between 1904-1920 and not 1921 and they are Morgans you have fakes

My bad some were Peace dollars. I normally stay away from the old stuff because I don't know what I am doing.

I think you got a good deal at $19. My local dealer sells for $20, but they were $20 when silver was at $17 and they are still $20 when silver is around $24. Needless to say, I'm more inclined to buy them right now!

I think you got a good deal. I have been watching the price of common date Morgan and Peace dollars and they are selling at some of my local dealers for about $21-24.

I picked up 10 @ $19 last week. I think you did fine as long as they are not chewed up and not worn to slicks.
